Paul Mikus is a medical device entrepreneur who has started over a half a dozen innovative medical technologies. Paul holds a Bachelors in Electronic Engineering, a Masters in Divinity and Doctorate in Theology. He has co-authored 11 peer reviewed papers and has over 40 issued patents in the field of medical device innovation.
Paul founded Origen Medical as an incubator to work with and launch new medical device technologies. He works with both private and public companies including Misonix Inc, ultrasonic therapeutic platforms, and Inter Science, a non thermal permeabilization of cells in combination with electrolysis for precision ablation. He currently serves as a board member and Chief Technical Officer of Inter Science in addition to his duties as President and CEO of PolarisAR.

Aaron brings over 15 years of software engineering experience in a variety of disciplines, such as computer vision, signal processing, 3D rendering, numerical optimization, programming languages, networking protocols and cellular planning. He holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas, and has worked primarily in the CAD/CAM, medical, and telecom industries.

Brendan has 4 years of software programming experience, specifically in x-ray computed tomography devices for radiographic imaging. He has programmed both user-facing applications using C# with Unity and embedded software components. He currently holds his associate degree in game programming and is actively pursuing his bachelor's degree in mathematics. His experience includes DICOM image storage and communication, system-level state management, and CT image reconstruction.
Staff Software Engineer
Hanh has over 15 years of combined experience in Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and R&D in the medical device industry. Her expertise is in Quality System development and compliance with ISO 13845, 21 CFR Part 820, MDSAP, Risk Management Engineering, and compliance with ISO 14971. Hanh holds a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and a Masters in Business Administration.

Steve has over 20 years of experience in developing disposable, reusable, and large capital medical devices in the surgical, imaging, and pharmaceutical sectors. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and has a BS in Mechanical Engineering as well as an MS in Biomedical Engineering. His specialty and passion is working with companies to develop new and innovative products that exceed user expectations and surpass business goals. He has worked on bringing more than 20 different medical device products to market over his career and has numerous patents on novel devices.

Karen holds an MA in Biomedical Communication from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a BA in Business Administration from Austin College. She has worked for many years in Biomedical Visualization and has spent the last several years designing and developing a wide range of projects for immersive technologies across multiple business functional areas.
UI/UX Designer
Winona has 6 years' software experience programing computer vision solutions for biomedical problems. Her PhD at Vanderbilt University focused on surgical guidance leveraging stereo cameras for soft tissue tracking and medical imaging for patient-specific 3D modeling. She has developed algorithms and interfaces for intraoperative guidance in liver, brain, and breast surgeries with clinical experience integrating guidance systems into surgical workflows.
